Machu Earns Another WCC Runner of the Week Honor

The 18th-ranked Zag women won the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday behind her fourth-place finish
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Gonzaga women's cross country's Rosina Machu was voted Credit Union 1 WCC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, announced by the Conference on Tuesday. This is the second weekly honor earned by Machu this season and the third weekly recognition for the Zags.
CREDIT UNION 1 WCC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK – ROSINA MACHU, SR. – GONZAGA
Machu led the Gonzaga women to the team title at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, setting the program 6K record with a time of 19:10.0, good for a fourth-place finish. All five of GU's point-scorers notched top-10 program times and all eight Zag runners placed in the top 100 of a field of nearly 400 runners.
