SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga Men's Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach Pat Tyson announced the signing of Noah Laughlin-Hall to a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday. Laughlin-Hall is set to join the Zags next fall as the GU men look to defend their first-ever West Coast Conference title and push a fifth-straight NCAA Championships appearance in 2024.
Noah Laughlin-Hall | Bend, Ore. | Summit High School
Laughlin-Hall joins Gonzaga after a third place finish at the OSAA 5A State Cross Country Championships in Eugene on Nov. 4. A 15:33.1 finish was just six seconds behind the winning time as he improved from a 13th place finish in 2022 by over 30 seconds. Just one week after his state finish this fall, Laughlin-Hall took seventh at the NXR Northwest Regional to earn a spot at Nationals this coming Saturday in Portland. On the track, Laughlin-Hall has posted personal-best marks of 3:54.11 (1500m) and 8:33.45 (3000m), having competed at Nike Outdoor Nationals in the 1500 and mile this summer.
"I picked GU because Gonzaga's distance running team is very talented with a lot of room to grow. I hope to be a part of what this team will soon become, along with the high-quality education that Gonzaga can offer."
Tyson on Laughlin-Hall: "Another highly-talented Oregonian, Noah is highly competitive and has had much success at the 5A State XC meet and Nike Team Regional this fall. He also has excellent marks on the track in the 1500m and 3000m. Add the fact that Noah is an excellent student, he's going to develop into and excellent Division 1 runner."
