
Robertson Signs with Gonzaga

Zags welcome Toronto native for the 2020-21 season
SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's track and field and cross country head coach Jake Stewart announced the signing of Ireland Robertson Thursday.

Robertson transfers to Gonzaga from Western University in London, Ont. She is a native of Toronto, Ont. Prior to running at Western, she enjoyed a stellar high school career at Northern Secondary.
Robertson has a 1,500-meter personal record of 4:42.59, and 3K personal record of 10:04.97. She placed in the Top-10 at the Ontario OFSAA Outdoor Provincial Championships in the 1,600 meters and 3,000 meters.
"Ireland is someone that will continue to add a lot of talent and experience to our team," Stewart said. "She competed at the high school level in a very tough province, she's placed well at a number of Canadian Championships and is eager for the opportunity to get into the NCAA system and continue to develop. Ireland's personality and ambitions go hand-in-hand with those same qualities that we as a program strive for daily."
