
McPhee Named Academic All-District

Zag graduate student boasts a 4.0 GPA
SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga's Jordan McPhee was tabbed to the 2018-19 District Eight Google Cloud Academic All-District Women's Track/Cross Country Team the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced.
The team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the playing field and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot, with Google Cloud Academic All-America teams announced in June.
McPhee, who is finishing her Masters of Business Administration, boasts a 4.0 grade point average. She is one of three student-athletes on the first team with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
McPhee graduates from the program ranked third in GU history in the indoor 800 meters (2:18.73) and fifth in the indoor mile (5:06.82). During the outdoor season, she ran the third-fastest 1,500-meter time in program history, 4:35.61, at the OSU High Performance Meet on April 27.
Former Zag, Jessica Mildes was named Academic All-District 8 in 2015-16 and 2016-17. She was then selected third team Academic All-American in 2015-16 and first team Academic All-American in 2016-17. Last year, former GU standout, Jordan Thurston was named First Team Academic All-District 8.
The Google Cloud Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. The Google Cloud Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions -- NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and College Division. The College Division includes all NAIA, Canadian, two-year schools and other affiliations.
