
New Top Ten Times Hit in San Francisco

Zags shine at San Francisco State Distance Carnival
HAYWARD, Calif. — The Gonzaga women's and men's track teams ran some new Top-10 times in their respective programs' histories at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival Thursday.
Aimee Piercy ran the third-fastest 3,000-meter steeplechase time in women's program history. She placed 14th in her section of the event, and 19th overall, with a time of 10:55.36.
In the men's steeplechase, Luke Mason had the seventh-fastest time on the GU all-time list at 9:13.63. He was fifth in his section and 25th overall. Alex Walde's time of 9:21.94 ranks ninth all-time at Gonzaga. He placed second in the fourth section.
Monica Ripple moved to fifth in GU history in the women's 10,000 meters. She placed 12th in her section, and 26th overall, with a time of 36:34.73.
The Zags will split squads between the San Francisco State Distance Carnival and the Stanford Invitational Friday. Live coverage will be available on GoZags.com.
