As a team, Gonzaga was 22-over (886) in ninth-place. The Zags were 11-over (299) in the final round.
"The guys are pretty disappointed in how things turned out today," GU Head Coach Robert Gray said. "They had an opportunity to have a good finish this week, but we just weren't able to put everything together today. Even though we didn't have the round we wanted today, we had a lot of great things happen this season, including numerous program records. We're not going to let one round blot out those accomplishments.
"For our seniors, David and Ben, they've been great ambassadors for the program. I can't thank them enough for all of the effort and sacrifices they've made. I know they'll both find a lot of success in their future endeavors."
Pepperdine cruised to the team title at 26-under (838). Four Waves ended in the Top-10, led by Clay Feagler's first place finish. Saint Mary's finished second at one-under (863).
Feagler took medalist honors at 14-under (202). He carded a 63 (-9) in Round 3. Perry Cohen of Saint Mary's was second at six-under (210), and Pepperdine's Joshua McCarthy and Rhett Rasmussen of Loyola Marymount were third at five-under (211).
Ganz ends his GU career with a 74.64 scoring average, which ranks fourth all-time in program history. This season, his scoring average was 72.41, the second-lowest ever at Gonzaga. His career low-round record of 67 is third-lowest in program history. The Portland, Ore. native's career relative-to-par was two-over. He's had two Top-10 career finishes, with a fifth-place finish at the Pinetree Intercollegiate earlier this season.
