BROOKLINE, Mass. - Gonzaga University men's golf sophomore-to-be Sean Walsh began the 113th U.S. Amateur Championship Monday at the Charles River Country Club in Brookline, Mass.
Walsh, the inaugural Bulldog to earn a spot in the U.S. Amateur Championship, began the two-days of 18 holes of stroke play shooting a 1-over par 71 Monday. Walsh's 71 has him currently tied for 37th going into the final 18 holes of stroke play Tuesday.
