SEATTLE, Wash. - Several Gonzaga University runners had solid performances Saturday at the Ken Shannon Invitational at Husky Stadium on the University of Washington campus.
Emily Thomas won Section 2 of the women's 1500 meters in 4:43.94, threatening the school mark of 4:42.20. Lauren Bergam was fourth in the same heat in 4:54.42.
Chris Boyle won Section 2 of the men's 1500 in 3:59.09 leading a 1-2-3 Gonzaga finish. Tate Kelly was second in 3:59.17 and Andrew Walker third in 3:59.64. Matt Bejar won Section 3 in 3:59.17 with Erik Fagan second in 3:59.54. Paul Kupcis was second in Section 4 in 4:08.78.
Jordan McCann was fourth in Section 2 of the women's 800 meters in 2:21.75, while the Leahy sisters - Traci and Kristi - finished third and fourth, respectively, in Section 3. Traci finished in 2:27.51 while Kristi crossed in 2:28.25.
Kayla Lloyd finished third in the women's 5,000 meters in 18:56.86.
The Bulldogs will conclude the season next Saturday at the West Coast Invitational hosted by Willamette University in Salem, Ore.
