Zags To Co-Host GU/EWU Fall Invitational This Weekend

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team returns to action this weekend, co-hosting the GU/EWU Fall Tournament with Eastern Washington University.
The tournament, held on the campus of Eastern Washington, begins Friday at 3 p.m. in Cheney and concludes Sunday. Student-athletes from Seattle University and the University of Idaho will also take part in the tournament.
The Bulldogs opened the 2010-11 season last weekend at Washington State University's Cougar Classic. Senior Rika Mehndiratta and redshirt sophomore Prue Teitzel highlighted the tournament having reached the Crimson Doubles semifinals.
"We are excited to co-host our fifth annual Fall Invitational," Bulldogs head coach D.J. Gurule said. "It is a good opportunity for us to continue our match play. Our team has worked hard for this weekend. We are excited to be competing in a tournament close to home."
