Three Bulldogs Receive All-WCC Honorable Mention Accolades

SAN BRUNO, Calif. - Gonzaga University's Clare Dodge, Rika Mehndiratta and Prue Teitzel each garnered All-West Coast Conference honorable mention honors the conference announced Friday.
The Bulldogs who posted a school-record 14 victories this season had Mehndiratta earn honorable mention accolades for the second consecutive season while Dodge and Teitzel each pick up their first career awards.
Mehndiratta finished the season second on the team with 12 singles wins, 10 coming while playing at the No. 1 slot. Dodge posted nine wins in her junior campaign, picking up six of her victories at No. 5 singles. Teitzel, a native of Brisbane, Australia, posted a team-best 14-3 record in her first collegiate season, picking up seven wins at No. 3 and six more while playing in the No. 4 slot.
"I am very excited to have Rika, Clare and Prue each earn All-WCC honors after playing so well for us this season," stated head coach D.J. Gurule. "I am very proud of not only Rika, Clare and Prue but also the team. This was a special year for us, everybody played well the whole season and we are really looking forward to next year."
