Zags Hit The Road; At Oregon State Saturday

ON TAP: The Gonzaga University men's rowing team continues its spring season this weekend, this time traveling to Oregon for a dual with Oregon State University. The Bulldogs and Beavers will race Saturday morning on Dexter Lake in Eugene, Ore.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Racing for the Oregon State University vs. Gonzaga University dual runs 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Lowell State Park in Lake Dexter southeast of Eugene, Ore. No specific schedule has been set though. The Zags will race a Varsity 8+, Junior Varsity 8+, First Novice 8+ and Second Novice 8+ boat.
LAST TIME VERSUS OREGON STATE: The Gonzaga University men's rowing team won two races in its dual with Oregon State University a season ago. The Bulldogs had its Varsity 4+ and Novice 4+ each post victories. GU's Varsity 4+ team posted a time of 6:58.27 to beat OSU who finished at 7:06.04. The Zags Novice 4+ finished in 7:11/96 to beat the Beavers (7:27.46). In the marquee Varsity 8+ race, Oregon State pulled out the late victory by the smallest of margins. OSU had a finish of 5:57.39. GU finished at 5:57.72.
HEAD COACH Dan Gehn's THOUGHTS ON THE UPCOMING WEEKEND: "Oregon State University always races us tough and I wouldn't expect anything less especially on its home course. They had a good run last weekend."
LINEUPS: Due to injury and illness, race lineups will be finalized on race day for all boats.
