Mehndiratta Records Win, Zags Drop Season Finale

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Gonzaga University had Rika Mehndiratta post a victory at No. 2 singles in the Bulldogs 4-1 season-finale defeat to Santa Clara University in Sunday's final day of the West Coast Conference Championships.
Gonzaga (11-14) dropped the first two completed doubles matches to SCU and then lost three of the four completed singles matches. Mehndiratta was the lone Bulldog to post a singles victory, beating Kacie Wagner 6-2 6-0 for her 13th win of the season.
Three Zags finished with 10-or more wins this season, led by Kristina Zauere with 17, followed by Mehndiratta and Clare Dodge who finished with 10 wins in 2009. Senior Aglaya Kokurina posted nine wins in her final season for the Bulldogs.
