Zag Varsity 8+ Ranked 19th

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Gonzaga University men's rowing Varsity 8+ is currently ranked 19th in the latest USRowing Collegiate Top 20 poll. The Bulldogs, who received 42 votes, cracked the Top 20 for the first time in school history. After having a strong weekend at the George Washington Invitational April 11-12, which saw GU defeat ranked University of Virginia and the University of Michigan, along with a solid showing against Washington State this past weekend, the Zags bumped into the national rankings.
The Bulldogs were not ranked but received 25 votes the poll prior to this week.
The University of Washington topped the poll earning 15 of 21 first-place votes. Brown University ranked second, followed by the University of Wisconsin, Harvard University and Princeton University. Brown received one first -place vote, while Wisconsin received the other five.
