GU Track Competes At Cougar Invitational

PULLMAN, Wash. - Gonzaga University had 12 different athletes compete in four different events as the Bulldogs had a solid showing at the seventh annual Cougar Invitational in Pullman, Wash.
Nellie Ballou was the top female finisher for the Bulldogs competing in the 3,000 meter run. Ballou finished 12th with a time of 11:39.61. The event was won by Ashley Puga of Northwest Nazarene. Libby Brands, Lindsay Hallvik, Martha Dobson and Amanda Gillman also competed in the event.
The GU men had a stronger showing in the 3,000 meter run as Colby Litzenberger placed fifth with a time of 8:58.33. Eric Mendoza also posted a Top 10 finish coming in 9th. Baraka Poulin, Gabe Hayden and Ken Santman rounded out the GU men in that event.
Debra Emery placed 16th in the 800 meter run as the lone GU entry while Kara Rasmussen was 13th in the 1,500 meter run for the Bulldogs.
