Gonzaga Concludes Play at UNLV Invitational

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team concluded play at the 2005 UNLV Women's Fall Invitational on Sunday with three losses in singles play.

Sophomore Amanda Becker, sophomore Erin Humphrey and freshman Courtney Lau were the only three Gonzaga players in action on Sunday, and all three suffered losses in the backdraw of singles play. Becker was defeated by Zuzanna Osinska of Oklahoma State University in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Humphrey was defeated by UNLV's Claire Smith, 6-0, 6-0 and Lau was defeated by the University of Tulsa's Tiffany Smith, 6-0, 6-0.

The Bulldogs will take a week break before returning to action on Oct. 7 as they co-host the Gonzaga/Eastern Washington University Tournament in Cheney, Wash.
