Bulldog Trio Win Races

SPOKANE, Wash. - Kara Rasmussen won her first title of the spring while Jill Semenza and Joe Miller continued to mke a habit of winning Saturday at the Whitworth Invitational.
Rasmussen captured the 800 meters in 2:24.3h, just edging teammate Emily Buck in 2:24.9h.
Semenza, meanwhile, won her fourth title of the spring and her second at 1500 meters in 4:48.89. Naomi Calkins was third in 5:11.41 and Molly Follen fourth in 5:13.97.
Miller won the 1500 meters for the first time this spring in 3:58.98 as he broke the 4:00.0 barrier for the first time in his career. Teammate Ryan Anderson was second in 4:03.45 and Eric Mendoza fourth in 4:13.90.
Other highlights for the Bulldogs on Saturday were Gabe Hayden finishing second in the 3000 meter stepplechase in 10:47.22 and Dan Futrell taking third in the 5000 meters in 17:03.30
