RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. - Gonzaga University's men's rowing team advanced both boats to Sunday's Grand Final of the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships at Lake Natoma in preliminary heats on Saturday.
The Bulldogs varsity 8+ and junior varsity 8+ each advanced with heats victories. The varsity boat won its heat in 6:18.4 while the JV boat captured its heats in 6:30.5. Gonzaga edged Washington State University by 1.5 seconds in the varsity heat, while the Bulldog JV's edged the University of California at San Diego by 1.9 seconds to advance to the Grand Final.
