Men's Crew Hosts Fawley Cup On Wednesday

SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University men's crew will host Washington State University on Wednesday afternoon at Silver Lake in the annual Fawley Cup Regatta. The regatta will start at 3:30 p.m. with races in varsity 8+, junior varsity 8+ and novice 8+. Following the Fawley Cup, Gonzaga will return to action on April 29 at the West Coast Conference Championships and WIRA Championships in Sacramento, Calif.
Gonzaga has won 15 straight Fawley Cup Regatta's including a nine-second victory over the Cougars at Wawawai Landing in Pullman last year. The Fawley Cup is awarded to the annual winner of the men's varsity 8+ race.
Gonzaga Line-Ups for 2005 Fawley Cup
Men's Varsity 8+: Coxswain Lauren Gadeken, stroke Connor Barry, Patrick Haffey, Scott McCoy, Nathan Wilson, Ben Foley, David Hinshaw, Joe Dudley and bow Warren North.
Men's JV 8+: Coxswain Elaine Parry, stroke Ben Rosenblatt, Michael Smoot, Matthew Wernette, Derek Clemmensen, Drew Smith, Brett Boissevain, Matthew White and bow Drew Hastings.
Men's Novice 8+ (A): Coxswain Dana Skoog, stroke Joe Dudley, Warren North, Scott McCoy, Brett Boissevain, Ben Rosenblatt, Michael Smoot, Drew Smith and bow Drew Hastings.
Men's Novice 8+ (B): Coxswain Meghan Quinn, stroke Scott McCoy, Sean Haase, Ben Rosenblatt, Drew Hastings, Drew Smith, Jeb Berg, Robert Holland and bow Chris Pay.
