Angela Fry Advances to Consolation Quarterfinal

MORAGA, Calif. - Senior Angela Fry advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Saint Mary's College Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Invitational on the second day of tournament play on Saturday afternoon. Fry defeated opponents from University of Nevada, Reno and Sonoma State University as the only Gonzaga University women's tennis play left in competition.
Bulldog doubles teams also showed well as Jamie Buterbaugh and Fry defeated their opponents from Sonoma State and Kendall Bates and Sirrah Williams teamed up to defeat Sonoma State opponents as well. Both teams were eliminated in the Round of 16.
Gonzaga continues play into day three of the Saint Mary's ITA Invitation with Fry participating in consolation play.
