MISSOULA, Mont. - The Gonzaga University women's tennis team dropped to 3-12 on the season as they fell at the University of Montana, 6-1, on Saturday. After losing the doubles point, Gonzaga battled long and hard against Montana. Gonzaga's top three singles each pushed their Montana counter-parts with each match lasting nearly two hours. Gonzaga was unable to win any of the top three points with Sirrah Williams coming the closest in a three-set loss to Annabelle Janairo, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
Gonzaga would score its lone point of the match when Katie Rock defeated Misa Zima in two sets, 6-4, 6-4. Rock had an even shot selection in the match with good advances to the net.
The Zags will return to action next weekend when they head to Sacramento for three matches.
